The most notable characteristic about Luke is that she is selfish. This could be attributed to her acting her true age.. Luke is really spoiled and she is never outright cheerful because she is always complaining about something. This is because she expects things to be done quickly and exactly the way she expects, no ifs, ands, or buts. Even if you think of her as a "friend" she will still treat you the same way that she treats everyone else. However, if she sees you as a friend, she trusts you more, to where she'll tell you small, silly little secrets with ease. If it's something she believes in or a person she has the highest respect for, then Luke will get defensive if they are threatened or hurt. You just so happen to make it to her list of friends, Luke will protect you because if she doesn't and something happens to said person then it may just cost her a friend, and losing friends is something Luke doesn't want. "Friends" give her attention. So it's a benefit to her.

There is also another side to her. She wants to be a hero because she wants to help people more than anything else, even though it's for her own selfish reasons. Luke wants respect of her own merit. She wants to become a hero because that is something that not everyone earns easily. She doesn't want to be made fun of and she doesn't want to be looked down upon. So, in her mind, she believes that if she were have to everyone look up to her she would have finally earned something on her own, and it would be hers alone.

With all that aside, Luke is also angered rather easily. She is blunt, never thinking about what she is going to say, just saying it. Nevermind thinking about what she is going to do, she is impulsive: only acting first. Luke has a brain, sure, but most of the time she decides not to use it.
